I am a Full Professor of Logistics & Supply Chain Management at the Kühne Logistics University in Hamburg. In the past I served as Adjunct Professor of Supply Chain Management within the MIT Global SCALE Network and as Visiting Researcher at the Centre Interuniversitaire de Recherche sur les Réseaux d’Entreprise, la Logistique et le Transport (CIRRELT) in Montréal and the National ICT Australia (NICTA) in Sydney. I hold doctorate degrees from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Leipzig (Dr. rer. nat.) and from the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Business at the University of Halle-Wittenberg (Dr. rer. pol. habil.). Furthermore, I have several years of working experience as an independent consultant and software developer in the logistics sector.
